Season two of the Emmy Award-winning unscripted short-form sports documentary series “Greatness Code,” reveals what truly drives the world’s greatest athletes to succeed. This season, Lindsey Vonn, Marcus Rashford, Russell Wilson, Leticia Bufoni, Scout Bassett and Bubba Wallace pull back the curtain on a pivotal career moment when they touched greatness. Told through a stylized hybrid of live action and visual effects, “Greatness Code” premieres its second season globally on Friday, May 13 on Apple TV+.
“Greatness Code” is produced for Apple TV+ by Religion of Sports and UNINTERRUPTED.

A collection of some of my latest art direction work.
A series of short doc pieces explores the unique story of several NFL players draft experiences. It was so special to not only direct the animation but to also conduct the interviews with each of these legendary players. The series was the winner of a 2022 Silver Telly Award.

“Work With What You've Got: Nimble Experimentation in Cinema 4D”
I was so thrilled to be invited to be a speaker in 2020 for Maxon’s 3D Motion & Design Show along side some amazing 3D artists including Johnathan Winbush, Beeple, Chris Schmidt, and Rachel Brickel. I decided for my talk I wanted to focus on native tools in Cinema 4D and techniques that anyone could use from beginner to advanced.

We brought to our set (1) Mia motion control camera rig on a 20 foot dolly track, (2) Kira robots rigged with wireless LED lights, (6) 15' tall led panels and (60) LED light tubes. All were choreographed and programmed to work in concert with the player’s dynamic movements and personalities. The resulting open is unlike anything else you'll see on game day in the NBA.

The world that the Timberwolves inhabit is unlike any other in the NBA. Their style, their home turf and their placement as a team on the brink makes them completely unique. This idea comes to life through a bold visual style, a new type of terrain that uses eye popping color and a set that uses high resolution projection mapping to bring their bold new visual world to life. Modular, brightly colored blue and green projection mapped animations with court paint lines and the bold shapes of their new brand fill a 2-walled corner set. Synced with the players actions, the court pulses, making the once flat plane into a sometimes jagged, sometimes billowing surface. In post we created a distorted digital, cyberpunk and kinetic editorial style. The whole open is unexpected and completely fresh...much like the Wolves new look and feel.

Edgy, analog, zine-inspired modular design.
Big bold type, analog textures, blocks of color.
Halftone, carbon copy, black and white base with accents of colors.
Very forgiving to varying quality in social posts.

A completely groundbreaking view of Celtics basketball plays out in BOSTON RISING as we create the first Drone powered game day open. On our set we used a synchronized group of piloted drones to not only act as lights and set pieces, but also as cameras that captured dynamic angles in our futuristic set. Our anchor camera was operated by our skilled DP (on skates!) as the players trained and seemingly choreographed with the movements of 2 smaller drones and the large "heavy lifter", powered up with a giant remote operated spotlight. The story of this rising Boston team is ignited through the next level technology taking flight with them.

Working with the young and exciting Panthers team meant bringing something fresh to the screen for the game day open. Utilizing a hand drawn, fresh design style for the typography and animation was a perfect combination with the unique locker room footage we captured of the players banging on the legendary (and gigantic) Keep Pounding drum.

The awesome people over at Whirled asked me to work with them on the graphics for a really amazing and unique special live event in which top YouTube personalities went to the White House and interviewed the President. I was responsible for designing and animating the show package as well as the animated visuals that were used during the show itself. Seeing Obama standing in front of the graphics I designed was so cool!

5 days, 5 locations, 7 commercials!
On a Monday in January, I was asked by The Famous Group to come up with a series of ideas to pitch for these commercials and by Friday we were on the phone with Frank Supovitz, finalizing and green lighting what would be one of the most exciting projects of my career. While other ad agencies and production firms had already put the finishing touches on their Super Bowl XLVIII ads, The Famous Group and myself had just begun the process of creating a series of “real-time” content films for the NFL to be shown on the stadium’s four giant HD LED video boards while the game is in progress.
The shorts included scenes of local landmarks, players, fans and pre-game events shot in New York and New Jersey during the week leading up to the game, and were combined with footage of key moments from the game itself to compete the segments. The work carried a “Together We Make Super Bowl” tagline, playing off the NFL’s current "Together We Make Football” branding.

The A...ATL...Hotlanta....a town with many nicknames, Atlanta is a famous crossroads steeped in history. A new type of welcoming campaign uses a bold art style to unite Atlanta Hawks fans and the legendary team. Bringing together the famous southern hospitality with an edgy and aggressive Hawks basketball vibe. Welcome to Hawklanta!
For the scenics, our crew ran around Atlanta with real ATL Hawks fans, utilizing GoPro, 16mm and 8mm cameras and a Canon 5D to create the feel of a gritty grassroots movement. All of the players were shot on a green screen sound stage with a RED camera.

The city, the dome, the fans and the legendary stars of the Rams all take the spotlight in a fresh and exciting look at the science, details, mechanics and insider lingo in this exciting game day open. We went inside the Rams training room at their practice facility as well as having the players fully suited up for a green screen shoot in order to bring a close-up look to the fans.

On behalf of Indomina Media I had the pleasure of creative directing the marketing materials for Ice-T's epic documentary "Something From Nothing: The Art of Rap". In addition to the trailer, we teamed up with Cold Open in Venice to create the award-winning key art.
The folks over at Wipit came to me with the challenge of presenting their Boost Mobile Wallet app in a succinct way. Utilizing some footage that Boost had shot for their overall marketing campaigns, I created the story of Boost Mobile Wallet's users in their every day lives. Working closely with Wipit's creative director I edited and animated the piece. Other aspects included finding music and voice talent within a limited budget and shooting pick-up shots of the app and card in use.
